Feelscape

01 · The spark

AI music sounds fine. It just doesn't feel like anything.

Every tool I tried optimized for what sounds good, not what feels true. You describe a vibe, you pick a genre, you get a track. Nothing about it was yours.

I wanted to build the opposite. Something that started with the person, not the algorithm.

02 · The origin

It started as a 36-hour question, not a business plan.

At the Music Hackspace × Berklee hackathon, I built The Lay of the Land, an interactive emotion map that turns input into a generated song using the Suno API.

People heard their own feeling come back to them as music. That reaction was strong enough to keep building past the weekend.

03 · The build

Four steps from a feeling to a finished song.

Describe
01

Describe

Say what you're feeling. In your own words. No prompts, no genre picker, no vibe slider.

Walk
02

Walk

Based on what you described, Feelscape gives you four emotions to walk through. Each one has its own sound. You start at one emotion, move through all of them, and end on the one that feels right. This is the ritual. Not a wait screen. A walk.

Keep the song
03

Keep the song

You come back to a song made out of your emotional journey. Not a track. A path.

Keep track
04

Keep track

A personalized chart that shows your emotional journey across weeks. Your wellness, your patterns, your state. Visible over time.

04 · The craft

Solo build, end to end.

Brand, product, design system, front-end code, waitlist, launch. A custom Claude-to-Figma MCP integration. Working directly inside the Suno API. Design that holds up in code, code that holds up to design.

The interesting problem wasn't teaching people what's AI-generated. It was making the output feel intentional enough that they stop noticing.
